Kansas Medicaid (KanCare)

KanCare, also known as the Kansas Medical Assistance Program (KMAP), provides

health coverage to eligible Kansans through Medicaid, CHIP, and state-funded programs.

Overview

KanCare is a jointly funded state and federal program that pays for medically

necessary services for eligible residents of Kansas. It covers children, pregnant women, adults with low income, seniors, and individuals who are blind or disabled. The program does not charge copayments or out-of pocket costs for most services, making  healthcare accessible to low-income Kansans.
