Providing Evidence-Based Support, Education, and Training to Serve Kansas Children and Youth with Autism and Other Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities
The Girls Night Out (GNO) program’s mission is to empower girls and women with and without disabilities in Kansas City and surrounding communities towards optimal social-emotional health and improved quality of life.
GNO began in 2008 and has since impacted not only girls with autism, but also their families, community partners, and providers in our community and across the country. GNO’s recent efforts include services for an expanded age range, community events, parent networks, and supporting girls in developing sustainable relationships. GNO received national recognition as a unique program that targets females with autism, who are an understudied and underserved population.
